But only the Lord can truly answer your question and satisfy your longing. But please accept this offering from the Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna: Translation by Swami Nikhilananda, page 138, " Bondage is of the mind, and freedom is also of the mind. A man is free if he constantly thinks: 'I am a free soul. How can I be bound, whether I live in the world or in the forest? I am a child of God, the King of Kings. Who can bind me?'...In the same way, by repeating with grit and deterination, 'I am not bound, I am free', one really becomes so--one really becomes free. " Dear friend, believe in the words of Sri Ramakrishna. But do more than believe, practice what he says. One must raise oneSELF up by the SELF. Be a tiger among men. Arise. Refuse to accept the idea of bondage. And remember, the guru can procure the food and even cook the meal. But the disciple must eat. This Maya exists so long as we are conscious of this body with all its limitations. To be free from the clutches of this Maya, we have to first realize God and become one with Him.
