Dear friends

Winter Retreat

Krishnabhai, Govindbhai and Madhoosoodanji have been looking around for a good retreat venue.

We could not find a suitable venue during the Summer months as most of these have been booked up well in advance. So we are resigned to having a retreat in the winter period.

Krishnabhai has discovered a suitable venue at Grendonhall Details at http://www.grendonhall.org.uk/link1.html

The venue can cater for 70 participants. We are thinking of similar dates as last year (between Xmas and New Year). This year the dates will be Friday 26th December to Sunday 28th December.

Before Krishnabhai can proceed we will like to get your views on the dates and the venue.

Picnic in Hyde Park on Sunday 10th August. Time: 11am onwards. We meet in Hyde Park. We can park our cars opposite Lancaster Gate Station, on the BAYSWATER ROAD (not on side streets as parking is not permitted there). After parking we enter Hyde park from the gate opposite Lancaster Gate station. There are the fountains and the Serpentine. We take left turn and walk along the Serpentine (on the left side). After five minute walk we come to a 'gazebo structure'. We set up camp there.

It will be good if each family brings one item of food that can be shared by about

20 or so people. Everyone to bring their own drinks. We request some of the parents to organise some games for the day. Boating is possible. Long walk around the Serpentine is also possible.
