Guest guest Posted August 8, 2003 Report Share Posted August 8, 2003 Further to the earlier posting about the role of Women in the Ramakrishna Order, we have the following message from Sister Gayatriprana......jay ---------- ------- Dear Jay, I would like to add to my remarks on the role of women in the Ramakrishna Order which you posted on your website. Unfortunately, only those pertaining to India appeared, and I feel it is only fair to the Ramakrishna Order in the West to bring out the main points I made in the unposted sections of my first letter. In a nutshell, I brought out that the nuns in the West, who are loosely affiliated with the Ramakrishna Order, are involved in administration, management, outreach and interfaith work. In my view, there is no question of “inferiority” at all. We are in a process of development and evolution which requires time and careful thought.
