(b) Can Vivekananda be called the most comprehensive face of Hinduism? I am going to take the liberty of throwing this question open to our list. Guest guest
Namaste, I have been a passive observer on this group for some time. I have attempted to answer the questions below. > (a) The situation in India where we hear of the Ramakrishna Mission > claiming to be 'Ramakrishnaites' - What do we make of this? Ramakrishna Mission as I see is an important river having its source in the same place as many other huge and important rivers and reaching the same one ocean: the source being Hinduism and the ocean being Brahman. Swami Vivekananda and others have aleady pointed out that it is water whatever name you call it as. > (b) Can Vivekananda be called the most comprehensive > face of Hinduism? Swamiji may not be the only face that modern Hinduism has to present as its voice but he is surely a very important one. Thanks. -Venkat Krishnamurthy
