Documentary on Sister Nivedita, a great disappointment

BBC Radio 4 Documentary on Nivedita

We had hoped the BBC would have produced a documentary focusing

on the spiritual Nivedita. What a great disappointment!!

The programme quickly degenerated and focused on a strictly

political agenda. What a pity.

Parallels were drawn with the form of Kali (with death and destruction) and

IRA terrorism and how it may be influencing suicide bombers in Sri Lanka!

What a pity that an opportunity to present the spiritual Nivedita was

lost by a very warped political agenda. The power of the media can

be used or misused. In this instance we can confirm that it was misused.

We have yet to teach the BBC how to look beyond such limited

political agendas. We will get there....
