Guest guest
In devotional practice both the repetition of God's name and devotional music are considered important. I personally find my mind difficult to fix in Japa as I find it dry and without Bhava (emotion). However i find that my mind gets well immersed while listening to devotional music. Can then I resort to devotional music alone and leave japa?. Please guide me. Sriram.

Coming to Japam,Krishna says " among yajna,I am Japa yajna " .Hence we must do japam atleast 108 times a day. When you go to bed, start with slowly chanting(with music but repeated mantra like Sri Rama Jaya Rama Jaya Jaya Rama " ) and fall asleep so that unconsciously your soul gradually gets taste in japa. After years of practice, you never feel monotonous.
