Question (enlightened soul)

Dear Sri Rama,

 

Please accept my best wishes. Yours is a question which is an oft repeated one

in many branch centres of the Ramakrishna Order. Recently the Head of the

Vedanta Society of Japan had visited us and narrated many instances of Japanese

devotees searching for enlightened souls.

 

Well it is indeed difficult to locate an enlightened soul, though I am sure

there are numerous such souls in all parts of the world. The problem is that in

almost all the cases such souls do not advertise their state of enlightenment.

And I cannot also say for sure whether those that advertise are not enlightened.

 

In the Ramakrishna Order the divinity of the monks is often revealed to the

public only after they have left their mortal bodies behind. It is only then

that their close associates reveal their dialogues with them which hint at their

having attained the goal of life.

 

However I can positively vouch, in my meagre capacity, that Most Revered Swami

Ranganathanandaji Maharaj, President of the Ramakrishna Order and residing at

Belur Math, Kolkata, India is an enlightened soul who still is present in his

body to bless the devotees.

 

Please do take the trouble of visiting him at the earliest.

been wanting to ask for a little while now. I have been following

Ramakrishna/Vivekananda literature for the past two years and of late a strong

desire to meet an enlightened person and seek his/her company has arisen in me.

Hence I wish to know if there are any such living(in body) sages in the

Ramakrishna Order,as opposed to those who obtain enlightenment at the time of

bodily death. Can I get a list of such enlightened souls in the order, in whose

very presence my mind is elevated to a higher plane.

 

I am young and naive, and unfortunately not able to meet any of the monks of the

order at this moment.so please forgive me if such a question is not be posted in

public. You may reply to me in private if you deem appropriate.
