Guest guest
Dear Devotees, Vivekananda has said pratika worship does not yield mukthi. He has also said that the worship of saints, sages etc. come under that. What about the worship of our guru maharaj?(no doubt liberation is sure)yet I want to know what Vivekananda meant by that. Guest guest
Hi All, To me it appears that a worship of the image of Sri Ramakrishna without imbibing his philosophy and the principles he taught would come under pratika worship. Worship of Sri Ramakrishna as not flesh but divine knowledge would be pratima worship. Guest guest
namaste.............. with respect to krishna moorthys question, this is what i feel..... what swamiji said is 100% right, simply worshiping of any idols pratika pratima never gives liberation......... this is becuse all these prathikas pratimas are elementary stage of worships to control the mind and give the correct shape to mind only through vichara............. (vichaara should be done keeping the idealogy of nitya and anitya vastu viveka means what is truth and what not...........requires a lot of practise and meditation is done to attain this ). after crossing these steps effeciently one will lie in the path of NIRAKAARA BRAHMA..........this state is nothing but state of bliss and truth consciousness .........this state can be achieved only through jnaana. so gist of all the above mentioned sadhanas is to get this jnaana and to have this truth conciousness. if you dont concentrate for this and simply worship for the sake of worship.........as swamiji said it is a waste in PROGRESSING of spiritual path.but no matter as gurumaharaj said.......one can without the knowledge of all these just mere praying with intense honest devotion to these pratimas and pratheekas one can attain this higher plane of spirituality....... regards KSN Prasad Want to chat instantly with your online friends?
