Guest guest
Dear Freind, In the context of your loss of will power there are two things to bear in mind. If it is a general thing, the first thing to do is to pray to God to give you streghth & energy. Also, make sure you are eating an adequate diet, and getting both exercise and rest. Consider also the subtle effect of seasonal changes on the body and mind. Also though, it can happen that when we turn towards God we begin to loose the taste for our old round of activities - we may not find we are responding or re-acting to things in the way we did previously. This can sometimes feel like a loss - we can end up feeling detatched from people, unwilling to compromise to be 'one of the crowd'. In reality, this is no loss. If one can continue to have faith, do one's sadhana, eventually any feeling of loss is sure to be outweighed by the spiritual gains one makes, the consciousness of the Love of the Divine. This can fill one with energy in an instant! I am sure we all experience fluctuations in our energy levels though. It takes time and insight to discern the causes, and to find ways of addressing them. The main thing is not to become discouraged to have faith and to trust in God and the Divine Mother - this is the way, so it is said, to turn weakness into stregnth. Hari Om. Guest guest
Dear Muthu Kalidasji's suggestion is very illuminating. I will add some more. There is no problem that we face to which there is not a solution in scriptures and puranas. A friend of mine gave an example. I magine the state of Rama. He is the all knowing, all powerful king of kings. He is the knower of and established in Dharma. I magine his plight when his wife is abducted by an unknown enemy. He went around like a demented man asking trees, plants and creepers asking them to tell him where Sita is. He falls on the ground almost conscious with saliva oozing from his mouth. In modern world, a person in this condition is said to be clinically depressed. When Lakshmana asks him tearfully, ' Oh! Rama , how can this happen to you?' . The Philosopher in Rama has an answer even in that clinically depressed state. He says 'even the lord of lords, Narayana, who is resting on a serpent bed in the milky sea is taken to heights of glory and thrown into depths of despair'.See the beauty of it. The first thing is to accept what is happening unconditionally - it can happen to anyone. A simple step -if You are in the grip of Tamas ( Inertia, indolence), it may be necessary to find something interesting for the mind and intellect to do. You could for example write essays to an imaginary audience or play chess. Better still would be to quickly get into Satsangha. Join Bhajan groups or study groups. The spiritual power in the satsangh can lift you from the state you are in and get your focus back. Let the mind dwell on higher things ( study of scriptures, lives of great saints etc.) and the lower desires and fears derived from these desires will start falling off automatically. Another thing to do is handle the paralysing fear/ concern at root level. This can be done by surrendering yourself to the lord and say that you accept what is happening ( there could be a very good reason why this is happening and THIS TOO WILL PASS) and Surrender yourself completely. It is also necessary to have faith. Witness what is happening to you. If the surrender bhava or faith flags, pray hard that your surrender may become more earnest. My prayers also go to the omnipotent consciousness to help you get over this phase safely and enriched. Best wishes Sridhar > > Ramakrishna , muthu adaikappan > <pluckmuthu> wrote: > > hi!! > > I am a student, new member in the group . i have a question > also a feeling . i have started to loose the willpower. i feel so . > i do not have the vigour to do anythg . when i am challenged. what > do u think i can do.. can anybdy tell .. > > WIth regrads > > Muthu > > > > > > > > lots of luv > > > > A.Muthukumar > > > > > > > > > > Protect your identity with Mail AddressGuard
