We have an interesting and very relevant Posting from Jagannath.

As the message was very long and it advertised some homeopathic services

(free or otherwise) at the end we had to edit some portions to shorten the message..

1. Liberation:

--------------

Dear Ratna,

Liberation IS Liberation. It is by no means a figment of ones imagination. The liberation according to ones imagination cannot be termed liberation, it is simply a case of delusion.

Not so long ago an article had appeared in a reputed magazine that Sri Ramakrishna was a schizophrenic patient and his darshans were hallucinations. Such allegations are not new. During Thakurs life itself such questions were raised and answered effectively by Bhairavi Brahmani and other Pundits of the era. In our religious literature (I have not read them) the symptoms of a person mad with the love of God are said to be vividly described. Sri Ramakrishna and Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu displayed all of them.

To give a more mundane illustration, a person in love with another and a person in love with God will have the same kind of intense longing, distracted mind etc. However realising God and marrying the person you love obviously lead to different states of mind. Thakur was well aware of this and he advised his followers to turn their passions and emotions towards God. He gave this advice to Swami Turiyananda and also to Gopaler Ma.

2. Brahmacharya. (Turning the senses inward)

--------------------

Dear Friends,

The fickle mind and lack of will power can be tackled headlong with the practice of Brahmacharya. Present day medicine is of the opinion that control of the senses is an impediment to good health. To the contrary over indulgence in the senses leads to horrific consequences.

Both Ayurveda and Homoeopathy give great stress on the concept of brahmacharya. Fortunate people who have adopted homoeopathy or ayurveda from a young age don't have many difficulties in practicing brahmacharya. Allopathy is a very dangerous path to tread for those with spiritual inclinations as it excites the senses and leads them outward. No wonder crimes against women have reached epidemic proportions today.

Sickness does not begin with sugar in the blood or high blood pressure. A person who does not have control over his senses is already sick. Physical and mental degeneration follows afterwards. <snip>

Regards

Jagannath.
