Guest guest
Dear Ash, Here is what I do while in a tight spot. HOPE FOR THE BEST PREPARE FOR THE WORST TAKE WHAT COMES This is what my english teacher drilled into me in my school days. Have you noticed that when you start practicing japam and following what Thakur said you tend to become calm. Calamities do not disturb you as they used to earlier. This is one of the basic benefits of leading a spiritual life. Do your best and leave the rest to God. Once while Swami Saradanandaji and Dr Kanjilal were travelling by a boat they were caught in a storm. The doctor, like the rest, started running here and there and screaming. Swami Saradananda remained seated and continued smoking his pipe. The poor doctor could take it no longer. He started abusing Swamiji and said, "Do you think it'll help if you just sit here and smoke your pipe?". The Swami replied, "Your running around will also not diffuse the storm". He then resumed his smoking. The storm abated, the boat did not sink. But the doctor received the lesson of his life. Regards Jagannath.
