Guest guest
Dear Devotees: I love Ramakrishna because his heart was great, and God was everything to him. I wish I had his devotion! It seems Ramakrishna knew greatly the mystery of AUM (OM). He understood that God is always available to us in sound form, the Shabda Brahman. It seems that the sound of OM is what leads us to perfect non-duality, an is a perfect sanctifier. He also said that OM is both God in personal form and impersonal form, so it is all inclusive. Indeed God is not sectarian, He is all pervasive and loves all of His creation, all living beings. Ironically, even though a Hindu, Ramakrishna seemed to be an opponent of religious dogma. He was a spiritual man, and felt that spirituality is what can unite humanity to love one another and also love God. One ISKCON devotee told me that AUM also signifies Krishna (A), Radha (U), and Living Beings (M). So, when we chant AUM, we have offered all possible love to God, His creative powers, and his created beings. In time, chanting OM will lead to perfect non-duality, or oneness with the Infinite God. Comments welcome. God Bless, Keith Johnson
