Guest guest
Dear Friends, This is a very interesting question put up by a friend of ours. The first thing we must consider is Thakurs words that nothing happens without the will of God. So whatever that is happening in todays world must have the sanction of the Supreme. Many complain that is world is moving in the wrong direction. But right and wrong are relative terms and are applicable only to us who know only about this relative world. Sri Krishna too says in the Gita that whatever path that one may adopt one is indeed moving towards God. I remember the words of a senior monk in the Order who said that being "Ded kal darshis" we should not doubt the words of the "Tri kal darshis". We know only about the past and a little of the present. With this insufficient knowledge we should not judge this world. Swamiji's contention that there should come a splurge of rajas to wake up this world has tremendous significance here. Even three to four decades ago we had people who were mostly tamasic by nature but they pretended to be satwic as they had no means to enjoy life as they wanted. This age of rajas has brought all oppurtunities so that they can exert themselves to the full and also realise the result of their actions. If we ask a child not to go near a fire he may not understand. But the person who has burnt himself needs no prompting. Therefore even a sinner is nearer to God than a person who is too lazy to sin. The present developments have many positive aspects; 1. It has brought self confidence to a large section of the population by spreading education and equal rights for all. 2. It has all but destroyed untouchability and other negative aspects which had crept into religion. 3. The concept of universal brotherhood has resulted from the intermingling of nations. 4. It has raised religion from rituals to spirituality i.e. practice of religious teachings. And the most important of all, today man has realised that to really find peace one has to turn inward. We have well neigh exhausted the options of the senses and not found peace in the external world. So today we are on the threshold of a new revolution, the spiritual revolution. Regards Jagannath. Namaste, Those are my thoughts also, all is coming into the open now through our immediate communication of events. The various little stages with their own actors have become a world stage in view of all. OM NAMAH SIVAYA Kanda

Guest guest
I just had a second thought on this. It seems to me that just like a Mother makes her children forget by giving toys to play with, looks like Maya is also giving us these toys of new discoveries, time and again it reveals to us the new laws of science, for us to play with and keep us busy! So for us children they might be exciting and very alluring achievements but in turn the only purpose they are serving is keeping us ever more in delusion!!?? Pranams, Sriram.
