It is okay to do dhyana in any place, time and pose, that is my opinion. Trying

to reach God has no specific way and has no rules. The only rule that one

should practice is concentration. This is of course my view, a lot of people

may not agree with me, but since you asked, I took the liberty to express my

opinion.

God bless.

one has to sit on one's aasan and then do the prayers or jaapam.Helps in

concentration also.initially it is difficult to sit at one place that's the

reason one has to do yoga (aasan siddha).things which are pious are not done

standing like eating, studying and praying.we stand and do only aarti so that

now we can leave.

If one is seated, the physical comfort will help, certainly, in

concentration. This common pose or posture is seen in religious world since

ages. However, 'dhyana' is different from prayer.
