Dear Friends,

Another thing I want to add, the creation goes around in cycles. The four yugas

constitute a cycle. In every cycle the Mahabharata war is fought. In every age

Krishna comes and also Arjuna. Krishna remembers this but not Arjuna. So Arjuna

has to be readvised. It is always preordained that it is Arjuna who will receive

the advice and not anybody else.

In Orissa there is an interesting belief that one days battle of the Mahabharata

is still left to be fought. It will be fought at the end of the Kali Yuga thus

paving the way for the Satya Yuga.

The Oriya sage Achyutananda Das, who was a great devotee of Lord Jagannath and a

contemporary and great friend of Lord Chaitanya and lived around 500 years ago,

is the Nostradamus of Orissa. He predicts that around the year 2020, Lord

Jagannatha will be born into a brahmin family near the Jajpur town of Orissa.

His brother Balaram will be reincarnated at the village Dandamukundapur near

Puri. Together the two brothers will rage a war which combined with disease,

pestilence, natural calamities and the like will reduce the load of the worlds

population. The two brothers will meet at a place called Chchatia near Cuttack

where a temple already awaits them. There is already a temple coming up near

Jajpur which people say is for the coming reincarnation of the Lord. He will

roam like a fakir and nobody will recognise him. Only when the two brothers meet

at Chchatia that they will take up their destructive appearances astride white

horses and swords in hand. Sri Achyutananda's prophecies

have been very accurate till now including the 1999 super cyclone of Orissa.

His description of the Kali Yuga is also very interesting. He says that women

will loose all sense of shame and will move about near naked on the streets. Men

will be totally subservient to them and will waste all their energies in mating

and pleasing them. The daughter-in-law will rule the house and not the

mother-in-law. The married women will not think twice about deceiving their

husbands. He even predicts same sex marriages, live-ins without marriage and

perverted sexuality. Money and sex will rule the world in Kali Yuga, he says.

Human beings will break all rules and will become worse than animals. The

devotees of the Lord will live in fear afraid even to take his name.

An interesting thing about doctors, he says that a new breed of doctors will be

honoured who will know nothing about disease and neither about cures. Millions

will die in their hands but the people will continue to respect them. He

predicts strange and incurable diseases and even very strange congenital

abnormalities.

The natural calamities he predicts are changes in weather conditions, poisoning

of water and air, earthquakes, cyclonic storms, advancing of the seas inundating

vast stretches of the earth. He says that the town of Puri will be totally

submerged by the sea and the deities of the Lords will be shifted to Chchatia.

His prediction about a new bridge over the Mahanadi and a " rajarasta " connecting

Puri to Chchatia has already come to pass. The four laned National Highway,

already completed, connecting Kolkata to Chennai passes just adjustant to the

Chchatia Math. The road from Bhubaneswar to Puri is also proposed to be built

akin to a national highway.

On the positive side he predicts the coming together of all religions and a

great era of peace after a terrible world war.

Regards,

Jagannath.
