Once Thakur was reminiscing on the famous words of Lord Chaitanya, " Name ruchi,

jive daya, vaisnav pujan. " Sudenly he exclaimed, " Daya!!! Who are puny mortals

to be dayabans? Seva!!! Look upon all creatures as Shiva and serve them like you

are serving God!!! " . Swami Vivekanada, who was present there, felt an tremendous

force in those words. He kept on repeating those words and vowed to put them

into practice. Thus was born the Ramakrishna Mission (as opposed to the

Ramakrishna Math). The monks of the Ramakrishna Mission serve the Lord within

the people with all humility and attention.

 

I hope you have got the message. Continue the good work by changing your

attitude as above. Not only as the hospital, try to see the Lord within everyone

you meet and your life will be blessed.

Dear Jagannath ji,

 

Beautiful..

 

I was in a hospital for a few days when i had broken my knee and a

surgery was done. I was touched by the selfless work of the

voluteers, staff, everyone there. Somewhere someone starts the

spark...right? I guess that is the beginning. Its only that I feel

to serve and if get that inner satisfaction by serving anyone (not

help), I believe...it must be another path which will make me help

feeling God in everyone. I am just a beginner...I hope I dont get

confused or 'bhramit' on my way.
