Guest guest
Dear Friends, All of you must have read about shaba (dead body) sadhana. Here the practitioner sits in a crematorium astride a dead body. He also keeps a bag of food near him. As he resides the mantra the dead body becomes invaded with a spirit and comes alive. It opens it mouth and tries to frighten the practitioner. The sadhaka then takes some food from the bag and stuffs it into the mouth of the shaba to keep it satisfied. The process is repeated many times during the night and the practitioner has to continue his practice despite such disturbances and obstacles. Living in the samsara as a samsari is like that shaba sadhana. Only here the practitioner sits astride many shabas; his wife, children and relatives. He has to satisfy each and every one of them and also the goblins of his own desires. He must also satisfy the other hungry spirits in the society he has to interact with. No wonder he finds little time for his own spiritual practices!!! So my brothers, cultivate renunciation and try to stay out of the snares of samsara. Here nothing is gained and everything is lost. As Thakur says, " If you give your body and mind to the world it will destroy it, however if you hand over your body and mind to God He will preserve it for you. To be continued.
