Guest guest
Namaste, I too agree with the Slow progress of Ramakrishna Movement. Even though Swamy Vivekananda is undisputed inspirator for the youth, the youth never thought of approaching or be part of Ramakrishna Mission. With the little amount of inspiration they got from Swamy Vivekananda is directing them to other Bhakti movement theologies which their friends are neighbours are already following. But normal man is not realising that what he tasted is very small. Contrary to other members of Bhakti movement, I observed that Memebers of Ramakrishna movment will normally speak out their meeting with other memebrs. During the talk with their friends also normally he never reveal that he is visiting Ramakrishna mission. But in other Bhakti movement not neccesariy Hindu, the members encourage their friends, neighbours or collegues to visit their group at least once. There after they continuosly meet on the pretext of dinner or a specil day or holiday. For growth of organisation advertisements are only small things. The each and every member of Ramakrishna movement should try to encourage his friends to come forward. Shanti : ! Shanti : ! Shanti : ! soma sekhar am naratting my experience here:After studying small books about Ramakrishna mission Greetings: The following passage is from John Yale's (Swami Vidyatananda) " The Making of a Devotee " (published: 1993). I thought it might provoke some interesting discussion on whether Vedanta and/or the Ramakrishna Movement is growing in the West. If not, why - - and, what could/should be done? " A faithful Vedantist living in New York wrote me recently: " The centers here do not seem to be thriving, although Indians seem to abound. I responded to a letter from Y just last week in which he was reporting the same trend in Chicago. Vedanta does not seem to be attracting American newcomers... " Jai Ramakrishna!
