Guest guest
Hello Mr. Muthu, The eating habits are basically arrived from social and regional conditions. Every body knows that about thousands of years back there is no restrictions on eating non-veg. But later the leaned people realised that senses of a man depends upon what a person eats. So the learned men come to conclusion that for whom controlling of their senses, angers is a must adviced against eating some of the food items. The restricted items for eating not only non-vegeterian but also the Vegitrian eatables which arouses sexuality, temper, anger and hinders the flexibility of the tounge creates fat. The vegiterian foods restricted from eating are Potatoes, Onions, garlic the spicy and oily items. The basic concept is the more tasty food a person looking for less he concentrates on the duty assigend to him. So asctic/sanyasi will eat friuts, raw vegitables cooked food with less amount of Salt and no trace of Chilli. Hindu religious rules are evolved from understading the Nature. It applies even to the Restriction on Non-vegiterain foods. If you want vedic prof of it ..sorry I have not searched for it. However the Ayruveda has given details about the impact of food habits with the pesonality of man. Gowtham Buddha who's principal teaching is non-violence. Advice his desicples not to eat Non-Vegiterain foods. But what we are seeing in Asian countries where the followers of Buddism eat Non-Vegiterian foods. It doesn't meen that they are against the Buddas teachings. But the regional conditions are difficult to get vegiterian foods the Buddist countries like Korea, china Indo-china eat non-vegiterian foods. If I come across any proof of restriction on food I will post. The Jesus christ said: " What goes inside the mouth is always good but what comes out of the mouth is not " Keep discussing... soma sekhar Michael Bowes <rmichaelbowes Reply-To : Ramakrishna Sent : Wednesday, July 14, 2004 6:46:00 PM To : Ramakrishna Subject : RE: [sri Ramakrishna] Digest Number 1844 | | Junk E-Mail | Inbox Dear Muthu, I am not well versed in the Vedas; but I do believe that one of the Vedas prescribes the " horse sacrifice " as one of its sacred ceremonies. --- Bob Rose <bobrose108 wrote: > > > >Muthukumar [plucku] >Tuesday, July 13, 2004 1:30 PM snip >* Hi! >I have a question to all.
