Guest guest
Hari ohm... I've recently joined this group. I am excited to be a part of this group. I would like to say something regarding Vegetarianism according to little knowledge. I read somewhere that " life feeds upon life " , means our body needs anything that has life in it. So I think it nothing wrong in eating non-veg. Because everything , vegetables, grains and meats, has life in it. But, we should avoid eating meat because they have higher level of consiousness than plants and trees. They can feel the pain, not trees. And according to vedas,I think, we should choose our actions in a such a way that it has minimum pain/sufferring on other living objects. Another reason for avoiding non-veg has to do with its type. In ayurveda it belongs to TAMSIK category, this also contains some of vegetarian food also. TAMSIK food is not good for those who do meditation. Because they have ability to disturb your mind by negative thoughts, laziness and so on. I prefer vegetarian food. Hari ohm... -Vikas.
