Guest guest
Sunil, They were human beings after all.Its only in the highest state of meditation does ego vanish, but on normal plane ego always remains, and its natural to feel remorse. When Thakur was about to pass away His most distiniguished disciple Naren was full in tears, but as such by then he was an advanced yogi who had even experienced the highest form of samadhi .......... Again not all advanced yogis can reach Nirvikalpa.Even if they reach that state they cannot come down to normal plane and normally do not live physically so as to say.I think Shri Ramakrishana had talked abt this state many times .However extremely rare persons like Sri Ramakrishna , can come back to normal plane and live with other people. This they do by retaining a part of their ego. Thus though yogis like Swami Brahmananda etc were very advanced, yet at that point of time they were in normal plane of consciousness where " Ego " is retained. At that state it is very natural to feel sad and similar human emotions .... kuravinakop <kuravinakop wrote: Hello, In this article, the author says that Swami Brahmananda and others were distraught when Swamiji passed away. But, they were realized souls and knew that he just left the body isn't it? Why were they in distress inspite of it? regards, --Sunil V.
