Guest guest
Dear Tapo: Two dervishes met on the road and decided to travel together. At sunset, they tied their donkeys to trees. One prayed to God to protect his donkey, and the other dervish invoked the presence of his murshid (satguru) to protect his donkey. They retired for the night. Partway through the night, there was a terrible screaming from one of the donkeys. The dervishes stayed next to the fire, afraid to investigate. At daylight, they found that the donkey which belonged to the dervish who had prayed to God had been killed and dragged off by a lion. The donkey of the dervish who had invoked the protection of his teacher was unharmed. " I don't understand this, " said the first. " I prayed to Almighty God for the protection of my donkey and it was killed and eaten. You sought the protection of a mere human being, and your donkey is safe. What happened? " " I can only guess, " said the second dervish, " But I imagine that the lion who ate your donkey also belongs to God, and perhaps God needed the lion to be fed worse than He needed to protect your donkey. However, my teacher has only one student to protect and that's me. " God is not a guy in a robe and white beard in the sky, and making your trust a bargaining chip with Him does not work to keep you out of unpleasantness. Do not presume to test God's protection and compassion; give 100% of your trust regardless of what you think the outcome is. Even raising the question shows that your trust is not yet 100%, even though you hear yourself say it is. God's purposes are beyond our understanding; you know not what is being developed in you and others from the situations God puts you in. My $000.02 worth. Guest guest
Well presented. Love and trust must be total. God protects you only when you are utterly and totally sincere. Any doubt in your faith, will upset the whole equilibrium. Total surrender is the thing. God is " kalpataru " , He grants your wishes at all times. Unquestionable devotion and total trust you need to receive His divine grace. Thank you. Asis Bagchi Read only the mail you want - Mail SpamGuard.
