Guest guest
AUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 1) How important is role of a teacher or guru in spirituality? Is it always important and necessary to have a guru, who would teach you how to go about with things in the spiritual life? 2) If the spiritual life and the materialistic life don't go hand in hand and can not be incorporated in together then will there be the same trust and the same faith in each and every individual? won't it be a hard time for people to decide what they exactly are looking for? 3) I believe being spiritual and knowing the Absolute or the knowledge of the Absolute are different altogether. Is my belief correct? 4) If 'looking beyond' is the way to live one's life, then do you think people who want to or even wish to look beyond would be treated with the same respect as the one who lacks complete vision and does not really care what Knowledge Absolute & Bliss Absolute mean? I don't know what makes me ask these question. Regards Taposhri India Matrimony: Find your life partneronline.
Guest guest
Dear Taposhri Let me attempt to respond to your list of 'Four key questions'. jay 1) How important is role of a teacher or guru in spirituality? Is it always important and necessary to have a guru, who would teach you how to go about with things in the spiritual life? -------------response---------------- This is a very individual thing. Depending on our needs the right kind of help arrives. Sometimes it may appear to come from within but in majority cases it comes from a spiritual personality most suited to address our personal needs. There seems to be an invisible law of 'supply and demand' that is active in fulfilling our innermost desire for spirituality. 2) If the spiritual life and the materialistic life don't go hand in hand and can not be incorporated in together then will there be the same trust and the same faith in each and every individual? won't it be a hard time for people to decide what they exactly are looking for? --------------response-------------------- You are quite right, our problem is 'we are neither sure of what we are nor of what we are looking for.' We exist in a state of 'waffle.' Swami Vivekananda would say: We just need to clear our vision of what 'all this' is about. After we have done that the rest should (and must) come naturally. 3) I believe being spiritual and knowing the Absolute or the knowledge of the Absolute are different altogether. Is my belief correct? ------------------response- We do not have to become spiritual .... We are already that. Knowing the absolute is impossible as it is contradiction in terms. 4) If 'looking beyond' is the way to live one's life, then do you think people who want to or even wish to look beyond would be treated with the same respect as the one who lacks complete vision and does not really care what Knowledge Absolute & Bliss Absolute mean? ------------------response---------------------- Terms like 'looking beyond' or even the more popular term 'looking within' are both deceptive. Such demarcations (though useful at some stage) fall dismally short of expressing spiritual experience..................jay
Guest guest
---------- 1) How important is role of a teacher or guru in spirituality? Is it always important and necessary to have a guru, who would teach you how to go about with things in the spiritual life? For most people, a teacher is an absolute necessity. How can you guide yourself if you do not know where you are going but have only a name for it? 2) If the spiritual life and the materialistic life don't go hand in hand and can not be incorporated in together then will there be the same trust and the same faith in each and every individual? won't it be a hard time for people to decide what they exactly are looking for? The spiritual life and the material (not materialistic) life can go hand in hand if you view everything as being in essence Divine, having a Divine origin and a Divine destination. This includes money and sex. 3) I believe being spiritual and knowing the Absolute or the knowledge of the Absolute are different altogether. Is my belief correct? All beliefs, without exception, are subject to change when one ceases to rely upon things read in books, and has direct experience. 4) If 'looking beyond' is the way to live one's life, then do you think people who want to or even wish to look beyond would be treated with the same respect as the one who lacks complete vision and does not really care what Knowledge Absolute & Bliss Absolute mean? Accord everyone the respect accordable to those who “look beyond,” because you cannot know their true condition. Expect none for yourself, because that makes it about you instead of about God. I don't know what makes me ask these questions. Your mind. Blessings upon your search for release from its clutches. hafizullah --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Guest guest
Namaste Taposhri, You ask these questions because you want peace in your life. You ask here because those who have it can give it, but you must be willing. Swami Vivekananda said that the spiritual transmission which awakens only comes from another human being, those who are awake apparently without such assistance have it none the less. As Jay said, help will come when you are ready.
