Guest guest
dear all, i have a doubt on sri ramakrishna's approach to a particular subject. i am narrating some facts which may not be fully correct. if so, members may please correct me. thakur is supposed to be extremely sensitive to the type of people he mingled with, their intentions, attitudes, etc. one often quoted instance is that he is supposed to partake of food drinks etc. only from people with noble thoughts and intentions. he is supposed to have been so sensitive that anything from an evil-minded persosn would affect his stomach and health. at the same time we have read about his infinite love and grace for girish chandra ghosh who was supposed to be full of a lot of vices or bad habits which one can imagine. i am unable to comprehend this apparent paradox. also, if thakur was the ocean of love and affection, he is not supposed to have discriminated between various kinds of people and accept whatever was offered by anyone. would appreciate learned members' responses. jai sri ramakrishna Chellamani _______________________________ Win 1 of 4,000 free domain names from Enter now. http://promotions./goldrush
Guest guest
Namaste, A mind with doubt will not find the truth within itself because doubt is not truth. Your must have neither doubt nor belief but clarity, then truth will reveal itself. Master saw the truth in people's hearts and that is what he reacted to. He was willing to suffer the consequences of any relationship for the pure hearted regardless of their current circumstances. Christ was like this too. But why try to help those who do not want it? As Master said, if you drive a nail into a brick you'll only bend the nail, and if you take on the pain of others who only want pleasure you'll know how the nail feels. Guest guest
---------- << if thakur was the ocean of love and affection, he is not supposed to have discriminated between various kinds of people and accept whatever was offered by anyone. >> Thakur had a human personality like all of us on planet Earth. As such, he had his limitations as well as those facets of his being which were clear and transparent reflections of the Divine. “Supposed to...” is OUR personalities needing things to be neat and tidy and fitting comfortably within our limited mental concepts. Guest guest
Om Namah Sivaya A Divine Incarnation can go into, and stay in, any state of realisation from the highest to the lowest (can come down to a lower plane of consciousness even after Samadhi). Sri Ramakrishna kept trace of ego, anger and desire for the benefit of mankind. They are ego, anger and desire only in name. When you go into the highest state of consciousness (Supreme Consciousness) in Samadhi then you experience oneness (Non-dual state), then only you are COMPLETELY free from discrimination.Without some impurities, you cannot come down to lower plane of consciousness. Sri Ramakrishna himself mentioned that whenever he wanted to come down to normal consciousness from Samadhi, he had to have desire for smoking, food, etc. Although NOTHING could affect Sri Ramakrishna’s Spiritual life, he clearly set an example to us that we should not relax our eternal spiritual vigilance, lest we should fall a prey to Maya and to exhort us to lead the ideal life of a humble devotee.
