Guest guest
Respected Jagannathji, This is an attempt in response to your letter dated Wed, 18 Aug 2004 regarding lifestyles of Sadhus & Householders. I have some points to make against some of your quotations. U said " .. But the Gospel is meant forthe householders " . I think this is an over-generalization. Gospel has many chapters pertaining to the ways how saints should prepare themseleves for their sadhnas & about various stages of meditation, kundalini & others & is not solely meant for householders. It is a fundamental guidebook for sanyasis too. U said " Thakur chose Sri Ma to spread his gospel for the common man " . That's very true. But more than that she chose Srima to spread the message universal motherhood -- a mother who will not be confined only to virtuous but should spread her to the wicked as well because Thakur himself was very much judgemental about " Paap " & " Punya " . U said " It is easier for the men to lead an unmarried life. " If it would have been so, then there would have been no problem of 'Kama'.It is basically this drive which drives a person to a married life. If it is easier then many person would not find an aesthetic life difficult. I have meant that Thakur descended, lived, meditated, preached in the midst of sansar & also had a married life(non physical). This is because to show us that we can remain attached to God in the midst of sansar even. Otherwise he would have chosen a solitary place in the hills for his spiritual practice. Praanam, Sourav. _______________________________ Win 1 of 4,000 free domain names from Enter now. http://promotions./goldrush
