ON SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 11, 2004 -- MEETING OF " SRI

RAMAKRISHNA PARIVAR " OF ROGERS PARK, CHICAGO

 

The next meeting of SRKP will be held on the steps of

the Art Institute of Chicago, on Saturday, September

11, 2004 between 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. for at least one

hour. As we know Swami Vivekananda gave his immortal

address beginning with the words " Sisters and Brothers

of America " in the Art Institute of Chicago on

September 11, 1893 in the World's Parliament of

Religions. Blessed indeed is the building of the Art

Institute of Chicago, and its steps on which Swami

Vivekananda walked.

If we are not allowed to meet on the steps of the Art

Institute, we will move to the sidewalk in front of

the building. The portion of the street (Michigan

Avenue) in the front of the building is named " The

Swami Vivekananda Way. "

 

You are invited to attend all the weekly meetings of

SRKP including of course the September 11 meeting.

 

We read a few pages from THE GOSPEL OF SRI

RAMAKRISHNA, and discuss them in the SRKP meetings.

The meetings are informal and, in addition to reading

and discussing THE GOSPEL OF SRI RAMAKRISHNA, other

(spiritual) topics may also be discussed.

In the September 11 meeting, of course we will read

the Swamiji's September 11 address.

 

Please tell your friends, etc. about SRKP and the

info about SRKP meetings.
