Guest guest
Dear Friends One of our teachers Vijaybhai was asked to do a seminar for sixth form at a school in Barnet. I am sharing his email detailing his experience jay Vivekananda Centre London ========================================== - <VijayHirani99 <vivekananda Saturday, October 02, 2004 11:30 qe2 boys talk The talk seem to have gone well, to my knowledge. They were very attentive and totally amazed by the fact that we consider humans as divine beings. From the questions we got later on, I got an idea of what they picked up. What really amazed them was the fact that Sanatan Dharma allows every person to pursue his own spiritual journey according to his ability, to awaken the latent divinity within them with no preconditions. They were also happy to hear that they do not have to suspend their rational faculties to understand god. We had a lot of questions as well on the Hindu thought on evolution, especially the two extra qualification we have: Evolution as a guided process, not change mutation and unacceptability of the " survival of the fittest " concept in Humans. Question especially focused on the links between quest for spiritual perfection and evolution. All in all it opened up many new avenues of spiritual thought to them, that they never thought they had. After the completion of the talk, one of the boy asked me to confirm a point discussed, " are only hindus divine or can a Christian boy like me also be divine " . The answer to which was " without a doubt " . You could feel the happiness in him upon hearing this answer. Vijay
