Guest guest
GOAL OF HUMAN LIFE Every individual depending on their mental status and will power has a certain goal to fulfill. Goals of life are of two types:- A] Intermittent goals i.e. Dharm, Arth , Kama, Moksha. B] Ultimate goal i.e. Moksha Intermittent goal is usually a material goal like becoming doctor, IAS officer. Such goal gives transient peace. Ultimate goal gives uninterrupted peace of mind for which we travel through the intermittent goals that is to manifest divinity which is latent in us. Peace is indeed a projection of human mind. Joy could be direct, i.e. getting a new car or indirect like winning a lottery. Unlike animals driven by instincts, human being has mind and intellect. When mind and intellect are allied then there is perfect peace and harmony. e.g. mind is a river full of emotions and thoughts. The way river has a dam to control the flow; our intellect should serve as a dam to control the mind. Hence, intellect should be developed. A newborn is governed by emotions. As he grows, intelligence grows, intelligence develops and hence reasoning develops. So, use intelligence effectively. E.g. In a lake if a stone is thrown, lot of ripples are formed and hence the mud comes to the surface of the pond. Similarly, a bad impulse from sense organ [mostly eye and ear] can generate disturbances in mind. All the hidden previous impressions on bottom of mind come up and disturb the mind. Hence, clean the mind regularly with Satsang, Discipline and Meditation (SDM).
