Guest guest
Dear Friends, I agree with what Webasura has to say. Thakur himself identified himself with Sri Chaitanya. He too talked of a chinmoy (non material) body, composed of pure sattwa, which a sttwic devotee wishing for pure devotion develops. He made everybody laugh while commenting that this chinmoy body is an exact replica of the human form right down to the sexual organs. Thakur did not mind the laughter and said, "Yes, that is true." Suddha bhakti is what Thakur wanted his devotees to strive for. He often cited the song, "I am not averse to giving mukti, but I find it very difficult to award suddha bhakti." He thus advised us to struggle hard to acquire the same. Weighed down by this world we often wish to be delivered from it. It is but a natural urge. But in wishing so we keep ourselves from the enjoyments and pleasures of a spiritual life. Thakur was never selfish. He wanted his devotees to taste the supreme bliss he so naturally partook of. Thakur wanted us to strive for bhakti. Mukti, he said, was a by product. But I would not criticise advaita. It too has its rightful place in this world. Remember, earlier we have discussed the Ramakrishnaloka? That is where all devotees of Thakur are headed towards. "I am readying myself for Ramakrishnaloka," I have heard many senior monks of the Order comment. There we do not loose our identity but enjoy the company of our loved Thakur. Sayujja mukti is not thus foremost on the minds of the devotees of the Ramakrishna Order. Isn't that a highly elevating thought? We shall meet not only Thakur, Ma and Swamiji but other eminent devotees as well. As per Holy Mothers unfailing assurance, Thakur himself will come to us and lead us there. "Why do you worry about not having visions of Thakur?" she once assured a complaining devotee, " He will certainly show himself at the end and lead you to his own world. That is his promise. Can he ever break that?" So rejoice my dear friends. We are all well looked after. Regards, Jagannath. "Webasura" Re: Dualism vs. non-dualismAdherents of the Chaitanya school endeavour to transcend material existence and false ego, and to take on a spiritual mind and body and retain a purified ego in order to engage in loving devotional service and exchange of pure love with the Divine Personality. Guest guest
Dear Jagannath i find your messages truly elevating. As often as we do hear about wanting to be in Ramakrishna Loka, there are some who make a subtle distinction and opine that they would opt for Vivekananda Loka. Sure Swamiji is also probably in Ramakrishna loka only, but in that loka they would opt to hold on to the robes of Swamiji. Frankly i would too! and then go for evening meals with the Master and hear Him gaze wonderingly! j +++++++++++++++ Dear Friends, I agree with what Webasura has to say.
