Guest guest
Sri Ramakrishna Charanam Saranam; Sri Sri Ma Dear Nikhil, The first volume of the " Conversations on Spirit Divine " was published from Ramakrishna Niranjan Ashrama, Sri Ramakrishna Nagar, Ottappalam-3 in 1964 and the last volume (volume 4) came out in 1976. Prior to this, a separate volume, " Spiritual Science " was also published from the same Ashrama in 1963. Apart from the Malayalam monthly “Ramakrishna Tulasi Sugandham”, the Ashrama published many books in the past. Some of them are the following:- 1) “Life and Teachings of Swami Nirmalananda’” - by Swami Vishadananda (English) 2) “Narayana Suktam” (or Mahanarayanam) –text and commentary by Swami Vishadananda (Malayalam) 3) “Life of Swami Vivekananda” by Swami Chinmayananda (Malayalam) 4) “Sri Ramakrishna Bhagavatam” by Swami Vishadananda (Malayalam) 5) “Sri Ramakrishna Suprabhatam” (Sanskrit) by Ottur Unni Nambuthirippad (113 verses in sanskrit serialized in the Ashrama magazine) 6) “Sri Ramakrishna Karnamritam” (Sanskrit) by Ottur Unni Nambuthirippad (serialized in the Ashrama magazine). 7) “Vivekananda Vijayam” (Ottan Thullal) Malayalam by Swami Vishadananda 8) “Sarada Namasankirtanam” in Malayalam by Swami (Mataji) Sadananda of Sri Sarada Ashrama, Ottapalam and serialized in the magazine. Bhagavatam was published two more times as it became a hit among the Malayalam-speaking devotees. Suprabhatam was published recently from Kayamkulam Ashrama with translations/transliterature in four different scripts(Sanskrit, Roman, Malayalam and Tamil). Karnamritam was republished by Madras Math. Since 1942, Ottappalam Ashrama ceased to be a branch centre of the world-wide organization, “Ramakrishna Mission” head-quartered at Belur Math. Nevertheless, it is one of the important centres of the Ramakrishna Order of Sannyasins in the history of the Ramakrishna-Vivekananda movement. It produced many saintly Swamis and devotees in the past and continues to be a source of inspiration for thousands of Ramakrishna devotees all around the world as a sacred pilgrim/retreat Centre.
