Guest guest
Disciple: - Did Sri Ramakrishna make any renaissance resulting in the harmony between material science and spiritual science? Swamiji: - He could not attempt to do so as He was an illiterate man born and brought up in a village. He did not know the meaning of the word ‘science’. Yet His life can be considered as a laboratory of spiritual science of different faiths and religions. He left the work of harmonizing material science and spiritual science to be done by His prominent disciple, the world renowned Swami Vivekananda. The Swamiji tried to make such a harmony between science and religion and he succeeded in making some such renaissance in those days. He was thinking of proceeding on with that work, but unfortunately he passed away before completing that task. Thus you will see that the advent of Sri Ramakrishna paved the way for stabling harmony between science and religion besides harmonizing different religions of the world.
