Guest guest
Dear Jay What would this List be without these one-liners! ++ But i wanted to chime in on the pluralism issue - just my tupenny worth. We can be so much FOR pluralism that even that be fanatical. As we know whoever used to come and visit Sri Ramakrishna, of whatever sect he or she hailed from that person would go away feeling " Ah what a wonderful representation he is of my sect! " No one would feel The Master was anything other than his or her own It is this that we need to project. When someone tries to impose their views, i dont think ( or rarely anyway) that what we say for pluralism is going to change their views and their narrow-mindeness. What we can do however, is to show that catholicity and our love does not change toward them whatever sect they may be from. That alone will make any impact, if any. As many faiths, so many paths is valid even for non-pluralist souls. For that TOO is a path. just my personal thoughts, and i do agree with all that you say on this subject, but i thought i would share what has helped me to gain perspective. Hope you do not mind pranaams jairam
