Guest guest
dear jay, namaste. ----- " We do not proceed from untruth to truth but from lower truth to higher truth " . The reconciliation of different pathways to God require this attitude. ------ What is " lower " and " higher " (inferior, superior ?). It is one of the moot topics in lingayat bhakti movement in Karnataka. In modern day kannada uccha/neecha [also mElu/keeLu in kannada] mean superior/inferior while in olden kannada it meant upper/lower. A liberal exposition has been - it should be seen as " upper " storey and " lower " storey of a house - nothing superior inferior attached to it. In what sense Swamiji is using higher and lower here ? regards, Vikas All your favorites on one personal page – Try My
