Om Namah Sivaya

 

Sri Ramakrishna’s saying: “Lust is like the root of

the tree, and desires are branches and twings. One

cannot completely get rid if the six passions: lust,

anger, greed, and the like. Therefore one should

direct them to God. If you must have desire, then you

should desire love of God and be greedy to attain Him.

If you must be conceited and egotistic, then feel

conceited and egotistic thinking that you are the

servant of God, the child of God.”

 

Tirumantirum (verse 2041):

Redeem the Senses By Intelligence and Prayer

Praise the Holy Form

Of the Pure One;

Praise Him,

The Senses redeeming by intelligence;

In your heart welling up in love,

You shall become one with Him,

He the Lord of directions four

And of beings, in other all.

 

Tirukural:

(128)The goodness of all one's virtues can be lost by

speaking even a single word of injury.
