Om Namah Sivaya

 

Sri Ramakrishna’s saying: “When does the attraction of

the senses die away? When one realises the

consummation of all happiness and all pleasures in God

– the indivisible, eternal ocean of bliss. Those who

enjoy Him can find no attraction in the cheap,

worthless pleasures of the world.”

 

Tirumantirum (verse 205):

Incontinent Passion Spells Ruin

 

The worldly folk who seek connubial delights

Are, like eddy water, sucked into the whirling pool;

Such is passion, incontinent, fleeting as a dream;

Real it is not; let not its siren spell you befool.

 

Tirukural:

 

(129) The wound caused by fire heals in its time; the

burn inflicted by an inflamed tongue never heals.

 

(130) Virtue will wait in the streets to meet a man

possessed of learning and self-disciplined, his anger

subdued.
