Guest guest
Swami Satyajnananda (Sampath Maharaj) and Swami Asutoshananda (Raju Maharaj) of the Madras Ramakrishna Math have been sent with a team to the southern port town of Nagapattinam for relief operations. The Madras Math is now accepting donation online for this operation. You can use your credit card and donate in any of the major international currencies. Here is the direct link to that page: http://www.sriramakrishnamath.org/news/tsunami.shtml When you click on the contribute buttion - it will say " You are contributing for 'Tsunami' " . Then you know you are not contributing for any other funds. Even a US $5 contribution will make a big difference. When converted to Rupees it will be like Rs.250 and can one meal for two families. When I was in India I had worked with both the Swamis, and they are exceptional in their service. Sampath Maharaj did extraordinary work in getting the Vivekanandar Illam (Ice House) back to its pristine glory. During special celebrations at the Madras Math, he would take the excess food and distribute it to the poor. Raju Maharaj has written several books on Upanishads, Git and currently is about to bring out book on the biography of Swami Vivekananda. I have accompanied Raju Maharaj to remote villages near Madras and assisted him in his service to the poor. Right now both of them are out in the field and cannot be contacted by e-mail. Please do give your donations and support their noble cause. Thank you. Yours, Ramesh.

If there is any problem with the server or connections, you may have problems. The website seems quite efficient. If needed you can always choose to contribute using other methods suggested by the link. The link details again: Sri Ramakrishna Math, Chennai http://www.sriramakrishnamath.org/news/tsunami.shtml regards jay
Guest guest
Well, the site works for sure. I tried yestaerday and got an error initially. I hit the back button on the browser & tried again and it worked. The error comes at the point of redirection to the icici payment gateway, but once its there, the payment will go through. Guest guest
Sunil, The sute where you enter your name & address is not secure, but there is a further link to ICICI where your credit card information is to be entered and this is a secure site with SSL. I have used this a number of times in the past and have had no issues. Hope this helps, Girish On Wed, 29 Dec 2004 09:36:40 -0800 (PST), Sunil Kuravinakop <kuravinakop wrote: > > > Hello Ramesh, > > The site for donation is not a secure site.
