If you haven't as yet downloaded the Movie indictaed in the below

email, my sincere advice is not to do so! Nothing wrong with the movie

BUT it is hosted on a website that installs spyware and adware on your

system.

 

Being a computer professional, it took me 30 mins to clean up my

system with the spyware and adware that the website installs in order

to let you download the wmv file.

I tried mozilla browser which didn't work.

The site prompts you and makes you install an activex control on your

system, which then installs dll and other files along with downloading

the movie file in wmv format.

The above installs a toolbar on your Microsoft Internet Explorer for

'dating' and other search related activities. Don't be taken in by the

'spyware and adware' remove link on the toolbar either.

 

It also severely de-stabilised my system. It registers several exe

files to run at startup.

 

Knowing the intricacies of the windows system, I could remove it, but

surely a unsuspecting/layman user would be much troubled with the

crapware that gets installed.

So if you haven't downloaded the movie, DO NOT do so from the location

given in email.

 

Unless Satish Chandra is making a lot of money from it, as an

affialite :-), he must have not checked all this before hosting and

sending the donload link from that site.

 

I would request anyone to please check that it is completely safe

before you try sending any links to the group(this or any other).
