Why God.........?

Revered Members,

As per Sri Ramakrishna's interpretation, God rarely interferes with the grand plan of the universe. Everything happens with a cause and effect relationship which we call karma. This karma may be individual or group karma as in case of countries. Sri Ramakrishna also said that it is God who has become everything and replies to a devotee who asks a similiar question with the words, "Who suffers?"

Karma will continue to remain a mystery because it is meant to be so. We observe how realised souls become silent both in mind and actions after realisation. If all achieve realisation and abandon work, then there would be nobody to cause chaos all around. We have a similiar scenario when the first Kumaras inhabited the world. They found nothing interesting in it and left. Then God created "kamini & kanchana".

Vedantic interpretation of the Vedas says that everything is preplanned. Sri Ramakrishna too says that "not even a leaf can move without the will of God". When asked about free will he prefered to remain silent. Once when Swamiji attempted to spill the beans stating that there is no sin or virtue, and that both belonged to God, Thakur cut him short with the words, "These are not for all to hear."

It is our ignorance which makes us ask questions. If we see the disaster zone we will observe that, though the general public is at its wits end trying to justify the tragedy, the monks of all faiths are calm and collected. But it is not that the ignorant will be denied what is promised to the realised souls. Both will achieve the same state for the ignorants' ignorance cannot make the goal distorted. However by adopting spirituality we can make life on earth easier to tolerate and also terminate the process of coming and going. That is the only difference between the ignorant fool and the realised soul as far as I can sense it.

Regards,

Jagannath.
