Guest guest
Hello Friends, Upon hearing that Indira point has fallen off India's map and is submerged under water, I made myself believe that Vivekananda Rock must also have perished and I will never get a chance to visit the holy site. But my father has told me that not only is the place safe, but the 500 tourist that were there were completed unharmed when the Tsunami completed destroyed everything that came in its path. The survivors said that they could see the sea floor before the Tsunami came but still nothing happened to them. I have only heard this story but it is one that gives me immense hope. One of our members asked how Hinduism can explain this event. I am not an expert on Hinduism or spirituality by any means but I have learnt to see the hand of God in every event that occurs around us. See the amount of selflessness this event has generated. People who had just one pair of extra clothes were giving it to those who had nothing. There are speculations that many civil wars and seperatist movements might come to an end after this disaster in places like Sri Lanka and Indonesia. What is sad about this is it takes an event of such magnitude to bring us to our senses. But perhaps God thought this was required for us to open our eyes and stop taking life for granted, and for once think beyond ourselves. Love, Siddharth
