I am also interested in finding the Bengali songs of the " Gospel of

Sri Ramakrishna " in Hindi script (Devanagiri script).

 

Also are they available in audio format [CD/ Tapes?]

 

If yes, kindly give me the source to get them.

I believe there are a few books published by Sri Ramakrishna Math which has

kathamrita

songs in devanagiri script. " vividh bhajan " is one of them. If you need most

of the songs

in one place, i guess you need to go for the Bengali version, and believe

me, you can

learn the script in a couple of weeks. I also searched for the devanagiri

version of Kathamrita songs, but ended up in learning Bengali script. I'm

glad I did that, I can now read what Thakur actually spoke/sang.

 

There is a beutiful book in Bengali, " Ramakrishner priya sangeet " which has

all the songs loved

by Sri Ramakrishna with commentaries from various sources. This book is

probably published

by Udbodhan.

 

Many songs are available in tapes and are available in most of the major RKM

centers.

They are called " Kathamriter Gaan " and comes in a series of probably 7

tapes. " Kali Kirtan "

is another good collection which has songs sung in Drupad style and are sung

on the occasion

of Durga Puja. Songs on Sri Ramakrishna is available in the cassette

" Ramakrishna Bhajananjali " . It has a few beautiful songs written by Swami

Premeshananda.

 

I'm not sure if CDs are also available. These tapes are produced by R K M

Saradapitha and the address is.

You can also find the songs renderd by various singers like Anup Jalota (not

produced by RKM) but i guess they will be available only in Bengal. If

somebody wants to listen to these songs in the traditional style, there is a

series of tapes named " shyama sangeet " by singer Pannalal Bhattacharya.

 

There is also a CD from Ramakrishna Mission Institute of culture named

" Bhajananjali " . The singer

is renowned classical vocalist Ajoy Chakraborthy. The songs include " Mon

chalo nijo niketone " , " shyama maa ki amaar kalo " .

Pranams. The songs from the gospel of Sri Ramakrishna

are available as audio tapes. There are six volumes.

Sarada Pitha, Belur Math has produced all these

volumes. The tapes are available for sale at any Math

centre.
