Guest guest
We were invited to make a short presentation in the House of Commons, members dinning room on 15th of March. We used the opportunity to present our recent publication to some of the key ministers and Members of Parliament. In our short presentation we said: It is strange that a Hindu festival can be celebrated in the British Parliament but cannot be celebrated in the Indian Parliament. The Indian High Commissioner was sitting in the front row listening carefully. We said the empty mimicking of secularism that India has adopted has meant that she has lost her spiritual focus. The future of Hinduism is in England, from here it will be broadcast to the rest of the world. jay
Guest guest
Well done Jay! Allowing one religious activity will mean allowing others too. In a democratic set up one has to consider all eventualities, perhaps Indian Parliament did not think of " Spirituality " as an option in the parliamentary affairs!! I strongly believe that " Spirituality " is by its very nature a thoroughly individual feeling, and it lies dormant in each heart. Wheather you kindle that spirit in PUBLIC or Privately is a matter of choice. God willing such choice or opportunity will present itself. You need not moan about it or complain. I would not for sure. There are other issues, in the light of 9/11 that we might do, to encouage people of this host country to identify us as HINDU, this you might do through your talk shows and your presentations. Remembering at all times " that we are great as a religion, but others are great too " . WE see Sun with the light of Sun. Om peace peace peace. Keep up with your good work Jay.
