Guest guest
Dear All, If you can through me some light about the following: 1. We all know Sri Ramakrishna practiced various sectors in Hinduism and other religions. What is meant there by his "practicing"? Becuase if you take the Christian relgion, you can practice that religion only after accepting Christ as your way. After accepting Christ path, you if you go out to practice your own, you are belived to be cheating. 2. Did Sri Ramakrishna accepted Christinanity or Jesus? Either way, how can he return to worship Kali? 3. What is meant by practicing Islam? Then why didn't he continued the islamic or christianity path? why he returned to worship Kali? I am going to give speach about Guru Maharaj in the church ( Australia). These questions have been arised during my conversation with the organiser. I am expecting similar questions from others as well. Please clarify me to clarify others. Thanks Shankar Make your home page
Guest guest
Namaste, Sri Ramakrishna came to show the unity of all paths, as Christ did to awaken compassion. The great spiritual teachers teach in the time they come and those times are different, with different needs. If you look closely, however, you will see their message is the same. They want everyone to awaken and find true, lasting happiness. Love, Bob Rose Dear All, If you can through me some light about the following: 1. Guest guest
Dear All, Ramakrishna practically demonstrated the very essence of Dharma (religion as you call it crudely!). His idea was to demonstrate that all paths lead to the same summit. Once you reach the end point, paths you follow tend to be irrelevent. You will have to give up the " body idea " , the idea of " self " ; instead think of " Atman " . The rituals, practices, colours etc are given by people as they desire, and all such practices are welcome, as long as you follow the path to ultimate destination. You pray to smooth out the rough path, you pray to concentrate your mind, focus you attention, like churning milk to get butter, once set in your chosen path, act with " Bhakti " to reach the summit. Once there you need doing nothing - Atman and Paramatman becomes one. Brahman. Sat-chit-ananda. Tat-tam-asi. Etc. Duality, non-duality and all other hues are there to set the course of action, the path to follow. This is what Ramakrishna demonstrated through His life. Differentiation is bad integration is the way to follow Godhead. Dear Jay, we reach the roof through stages or stairs, and all practices are just riding those stairs slowly and surely.
