Guest guest
We keep our personal journey private. I wish on this list sharing our spiritual journey--to discuss our hopes and fears--a place to communicate our experiences. We seem to quote religious teachings. To what point? We can all read that. Perhaps we fear comparing ourselves to others or, in talking about ourselves, we are afraid of self-aggrandizing. Such is false humility. Let humility be natural or attempt it not at all. But the alternative to sharing is isolation. Life is full of problems and struggles even among spiritual seekers. Life cannot be totally safe and free of difficulties and dangers. There is no point to make spiritual life safe by silence. Our spiritual life, no matter which lofty teacher we quote is nothing unless it motivates the heart. The only spiritual experience one will ever know is in one's own consciousness. We only exist in our own consciousness. Shall we approach life, spiritual life, in silence and without openness? Is that not attempting to create an alternate reality? The mind creates reality. It is never impersonal or objective. It is never safe. Even science must beware. The most we can do is communicate our truth at each changing moment. At least that is what I seek here. Tom

Isn't this only natural? These 'lofty' teachers were sent to enlighten us....to ease our burdens and speed us on the way to God-Realization. Each and every person, remains a member of this mailing list for their own particular purpose. Some seek answers to their questions, concerning various spiritual topics. Others are perhaps in a position to help find the appropriate quotes, which will hopefully satisfy those queries. Then again, there are those, like your good self, who are more interested in sharing experiences on the spiritual path. We will also find some members, who are content just to read the various postings...never making any comment whatsoever. I think that this mailing list is a welcome place for all the above. Guest guest
Thank you Tom, for those very wise words. I had always kept my spirituality to myself and always felt as if I would burst and cease to exist if I continued to do so. Now I share what small spiritual wisdom I have been granted,by God's Grace, with anyone who will listen. And now I feel as if I am fullfilling my true nature. Thank you again for reminding me of my spiritual duty. NAMASTE Thomas Rea <tomikin wrote:
Guest guest
Chicago May 14, 05 Tom, In fact I have shared a few of my spiritual experiences in some WHSW columns. Frankly I was not sure whether I did right thing or not, as Sri RamaKrishna and Holy Mother have instructed to some devotees/disciples not to reveal personal spiritual experiences. But I believe that They may make exceptions in some cases. Well, how can one know? --Girish <snip>.........PLS DELETE EARLIER MESSAGES WHEN REPLYING..jay
Guest guest
Hello Everyone, Spiritual journey one begins since birth. Some follow an arduous and long path, others short path. Spirituality is for one to feel, enjoy, cherish and follow - in a few very limited cases such experience may be shared. It is largely a personal experience of joy, ecstasy, super form of happiness to be felt, not easily shared, because conditioning of mind into similar wavelength is rather hard to achieve! If you can share it with others you could be so fortunate. May God guide you through the right path. May you enjoy bliss. Om tat sat. Asis Bagchi Mail Mobile Take Mail with you!
