Sunder one of our active list members has sent the following letter to the editor of Hinduism Today magazine. He has kindly agreed that we can share this on our list

I have told the editorial team at this magazine that such articles do not slander Vivekananda, he does not need defending his life and teachings speak for themselves. What worries us is that the credibility of Hinduism Today has certainly been compromised by such an article. The team has yet not responded ..........jay

============letter to editor of Hinduism Today==

Dear Sir,All Religions.... It is pitiable to waste one's time reading the sloppy diatribe written by Dr. Morales, and shameful to see it published in the Hinduism Today magazine July-Aug-Sept. 2005) The radical universalism of Hinduism is already enshrined in the ageless mantra of theRig-Veda : " ekaM sat, viprA bahudhA vadanti | " [ That TRUTH is ONE; sages describe it variously. ] There is not one word of Dr. Morales discussing the issue with any of the heads of theRamakrishna-Vivekananda Centers in USA, or in any part of the world. His understanding of theRamakrishna Movement is primitive at best. It would be highly desirable for the author to meditate on the mantra quoted above before he writes another word about his understanding of Hinduism.H. Sundar RaoBattle Creek, MI., USAsunderh
