Dear Friends,

Please for a very good assessment on the current situation involving science and ethics;

and here is one of my letters that has been published by the newspaper, in response to an article, "A question of faith" where scientists complained that religion was the greatest obstacle in the path of science.

Namaste Jagnnath,

RE: " Simone Reissner’s exposition of God, (A question of faith, June

13), may be appropriate for the materialistic people in Europe, but it

doesn’t apply to an Indian. "

Comment: Although you make some excellent points in your article,

quoted above, I believe that we will find just the same percentage

of materialistic people in India, as we will find in Europe or anywhere

else. 'The West' does not have a monopoly on materialism.

Dear Borgen,

Point well taken. I'm sorry I offended you. Yes there are enough

materialistic people in India to fill all of Europe. I was just

referring to spiritual minded people by the word " Indian " .

Sorry brother,

Jagannath.

Dear Jagannath,

RE: " I'm sorry I offended you "

Comment: No offense taken.

Although, I am personally of European origin, my three offspring

have the blood of Mother India running through their veins.

So, I tend to see things from both sides.....

Revered Sir

Kindly accept my humble pranams at Your Holy Feet. The message you

have conveyed through telegraphindia is greatly admirable.

Should we not accept that " Out of evil comes good " ?

I am only awaiting your kind response.
