Guest guest
The following message came from John Manetta who runs Vedanta society in Athens. We are sharing this message with the list........regards jay ==================================copy of email================== Excellent news Jay! Thank you also for the earlier info about the Hinduism Today article and the digital version of the magazine.Since then, I received the promised sample copy of Hinduism Today and just now a copy of the current issue with your article and my and other letters to the editor on the subject. And not only that, they are sending me Hinduism Today for one year free! BBC -- well you have got your foot in the door...It is indeed interesting to see how the Higher Power is working. Hinduism might yet be the leaven that can change attitudes to religion in the Western societies. But in addition to that, objective presentation of the other religions (both doctrinal and mystical aspects) needs to be there. Higher Power is there, man categorizes it in various was and thinks the categories are absolute--that is where all the trouble starts. Dvaita (separatness) is an experience, visishtadvaita (immanence) is an experience, advaita (egoless whole) is the ultimate ‘experience’..Best regardsJohn
