Om Namah Sivaya

'Translate the phrase " Ocean of Light " into

Sanskrit?'

Light in Sanskrit is JYOTI, SAMUDRA is a Sanskrit term

for ocean, SAMUDRA-JYOTI I suppose.

Certainly I know PARAM-JYOTI means Infinite Light.

Jyotirmay

Jyotisamudram

Take your pick !! The first means " full of light " . I included it

because it sounds good.

namaste,

One buddhist word for " ocean of light " would be " Amitabha " (amita:

infinite, abha: light).

May be such a word is available in " Buddha charita " of Amoghavarsha.

Or may be like 'karuna saagara', we can have 'jyoti-sagara'

regards,

vikas
