Guest guest
hi all, I have a small question. Unlike Christianity do we(Hindus) have any ways of repentence or confession. the traditionally known ways of repentence i have heard are retualistic or unrealistic. Are there any simple ways of confession prescribed in Hinduism. I have no idea what Thakur or Maa or Swamiji has ever or either said anything in this regard. It would be nice if any one of u can enlighten me in this regard. Thanks and RegardsSourish

As Self-knowledge is the summum bonum (niHshreyas) of human life, that goal has to be the focus. Gita has several reassuring verses, esp. ch. 9, that would comfort anyone. Guest guest
Aum Namo Narayanaya Trust Sri Ramakrishna is keeping you all safe and well.. I have heard instructions to deal with a confession in the following manner: If, in the process of making a mistake, we hurt/offend or make someone angry.. We should first apologise to them.. Next we should go to God, confess our wrong doings to Him and ask, very humbly for forgivness... But the most important lesson that should be learnt from this is: WE SHOULD TRY OUR VERY BEST NEVER TO REPEAT THAT SIN OR MISTAKE.. Hope that helps.. May Master guide us always.. Aum Kind regards Ask Me <smartsourish wrote: hi all, I have a small question. Guest guest
From the Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna - October 27, 1882 " Once someone gave me a book of the Christians. I asked him to read it to me. It talked about nothing but sin. (To Keshab) Sin is the only thing one hears of at your Brahmo Samaj, too. The wretch who constantly says, 'I am bound, I am bound' only succeeds in being bound. He who says day and night, 'I am a sinner, I am a sinner' verily becomes a sinner. " Once should have burning faith in God that one can say: 'What? I have repeated the name of God, and can sin cling to me? How can I be a sinner any more? How can I be in bondage any more?' " If a man repeats the name of God, his body, mind, and everything becomes pure. Why should one talk only about sin and hell, and such things? Say but once, 'O Lord, I have undoubtedly done wicked things, but I won't repeat them.' And have faith in His name. " Sri Ramakrishna became intoxicated with divine love and sang: If only I can pass away repeating Durga's name, How canst Thou then, O Blessed One, Withhold from me deliverance, Wretched though I may be? Blessings, Michael. Ramakrishna , " Ask Me " <smartsourish> wrote: > > > hi all, > > I have a small question.
