There have been many studies in the West which have not been able to refute the theory of reincarnation entirely. I have orthodox Christian friends on the net who, despite their upbringing, strongly believe in rebirth. This is one issue which seems to unite all faiths, all civillisations. Rationalists say it stems from a desire for immortality. But that does not explain documented and well researched cases of rebirth. Maybe when current science is through with its materialistic pursuits then there will be more in depth probes on such issues. Regards, Jagannath.
