Guest guest
Dear Friends, The Dalai Lama steered clear of both religion and politics in his speech at the neuroscience conference held at the USA yesterday, Nov 12th. The initial opposition to his presence at the conference had evaporated and all but one of the representatives attended and listened to him with interest. Later, a scientist confided that such interchanges were necessary and hoped that other religious leaders too would be allowed to speak at the conference in the future. Trust the Dalai Lama to bring science and spirituality together!! Excerpts from his speech, in two pages, may be read here. Page 2 is more relevant to the discussion we have been having in this forum. http://www.nytimes.com/2005/11/12/opinion/12dalai.html?incamp=article_popular Regards, Jagannath.
